Texas Stadium was imploded and cleared in April 2010. The first major expansion project at the Texas Stadium site, mostly at the SH 114/Loop 12 interchange, was completed in 2012. The second major project, focusing on the SH 183/Loop 12 intersection, was completed 2018. The third and final project to complete all work at the Texas Stadium site is the $355 million Irving Interchange project, started in 2021 and officially dedicated on May 8, 2024.
