This section of freeway was widened to 8 main lanes, with the expansion completed in 2020 and 2021. These photos show the original freeway, which had four main lanes south of Belt Line Road and six main toll lanes north of Belt Line Road.
This section of TX 161 is the George Bush Turnpike, the same name as the connecting TX 190.
