The frontage roads are State Highway 161. The Bush Turnpike main lanes on this section opened October 15, 2012. The Bush Turnpike between I-30 and I-20 was expanded to eight main lanes in 2022.
This is the southernmost section of 161 in south Grand Prarie. These photos show work underway on the section shown by the dashed red line.
