These photos show construction of phase 1 of the huge 5-level interchange at I-35E and SH 121 (Rayburn Turnpike). This project added four connectors on the southeast side. This project was funded with traditional highway funds and was a freeway until NCTCOG voted to convert it to a tollway on September 9, 2004.
