The LBJ Express lanes opened on September 10, 2015. Photography of the construction of the LBJ Express lanes was difficult because most of the work was in a trench in the middle of the freeway and was visible only from a few overpasses.
This driver's view looks westbound, just west of the Dallas North Tollway. The area on the left between the main lanes would become the express lanes.
