2018 status: Many of these photos are obsolete due to projects which have built new freeway sections or expanded the existing freeway. The affected photos are indicated. These images begin north of DFW Airport and proceed to a point near the eastern junction of SH 121 and SH 121 business in Carrollton.

2015 Photo status: Obsolete The freeway was expanded to be much wider during the DFW Connector project, completed in 2013
On the connection ramp from I-635 to SH 121. In 2007 and 2008 there were numerous drilling rigs in the area, drilling for natural gas in the Barnett Shale. When prices collapsed in the second half of 2008, drilling stopped. The wells which were drilled were reportedly poor producers. (Photo date: 29-July-2007)
