Approaching the Campbell overpass. Ahead is the area known as the Telecom Corridor. The high tech bust in 2001-2002 decimated the telecom industry and it has never really recovered. There is still a telecom presence in the area, but most of the vacant office space has been filled by non-telecom tenants, especially insurance firms.

This is the railroad crossing just north of the interchange with the Bush Turnpike. The narrow width underneath the overpass causes a major rush hour bottleneck as all the vehicles coming off the Turnpike try to merge. In a project with completion in 2019, extra lanes were added on both sides of the freeway for the connections to/from the Bush Turnpike.
