Looking north from the Collins Road overpass. Ahead is the area known as the Telecom Corridor. The high tech bust in 2001-2002 decimated the telecom industry and it has never really recovered. There is still a telecom presence in the area, but most of the vacant office space has been filled by non-telecom tenants, especially insurance firms. In 2015 I rarely hear the term Telecom Corridor anymore.

Looking north from the Gatalyn overpass. This overpass was added after the main reconstruction in the early 1990s as somewhat of an afterthought, and its nonstandard design is the result of trying to retrofit it into the limited space.
