New managed lanes (one in each direction) opened in 2017. The $301 million Irving Interchange project, in progress from 2021 to 2023, completed SH 114 to its final configuration at the former Texas Stadium site. The long-term plan for a major expansion of the freeway is unfunded and unscheduled as of 2022.
