New managed lanes (one in each direction) opened in 2017. The $301 million Irving Interchange project, started in 2021 and dedicated on May 8, 2024, completed SH 114 to its final configuration at the former Texas Stadium site. The long-term plan for an expansion of the freeway in Irving is unfunded and unscheduled as of 2025.
